One of the best things about Wellington is that there’s always good coffee in the 'burbs. The Peoples Coffee café in Newtown is testament to this. Constantly packed with trendy Newtown revellers and nearby office staff, the space is small and the coffee is superb. And the service? It’s always fast and friendly.

This place is focused on its coffee, but there is a selection of delicious biscuits and pastries as well as their Toast menu if you’re feeling peckish. Environmentally (and people) conscious, most of the interior is made using recycled materials, there are plenty of Reusable Cups on sale and Trade Aide fair trade chocolate too. Of course, the coffee beans are organic and Fair Trade certified.
