No-Bake Banoffee Pie

By Real Rad Food

Hannah from Real Rad Food is the reigning raw treat guru of The Mount, and lucky for us mere mortals (otherwise known as home cooks), she’s started sharing her recipe secrets online. Her recent take on no-bake Banoffee Pie has us all sorts of weak at the knees, starring a Rad Ball crust, date toffee, fresh bananas and coconut cream whip. And don’t forget the all-important garnish—shaved chocolate. Some might say this is the perfect party piece. And if that’s a party of one—just us—we’re here for it.

Ginger Slice

By Two Raw Sisters

Ginger slice is a Kiwi classic everyone should have in their baking repertoire. We’re obsessed with this take on it by Two Raw Sisters, Christchurch’s OG raw baking queens. A chewy oat base is topped with flavourful ginger filling made with soaked cashews, coconut oil and nut milk. Adorn the top with sliced dried figs, coconut flakes and preserved ginger and you’ve got yourself a winner. They say you can pop it in the freezer for unexpected guests but really, we don’t think it will last that long.

Vegan Sticky Date Pudding

By Eleanor Ozich

While some might prefer words of affirmation or physical touch, our love language is pudding. And Kiwi cookbook author Eleanor Ozich has captured our hearts with her vegan take on this winter classic; sticky date pudding with coconut butterscotch sauce. We’re not drooling, you are. Notes of ginger and cardamom in the sauce gives this pud a depth of flavour that stands above the rest.
