At BobaLab it’s all in the name. Here, boba/bubble teas are made in a compact, creative laboratory. All the boba is handcrafted and every tea is all natural. They never use artificial ingredients or colours - every delicious drink served is a 100% real glass of fun and flavour.

This shop’s boba pearls are made each day by hand with tapioca flour. No preservatives or fake ingredients are ever used. Honey boba is always on offer and weekly flavours like sakura and black sesame mean there's always something new to try.

On the left hand side of the shop you’ll find the menu. T stands for pure tea, M for fresh milk tea and F for fruit tea. O stands for the outer space options: Space Mojito and Berry Nebula. These two are made with fruit purees, soda and organic butterfly pea flowers to achieve vibrant, all natural hues.

Once you’ve chosen your tea fill it with honey boba, boba of the week, lychee coconut jelly or pineapple coconut jelly. Choose your level of sweetness and add milk if you’d like. Clean and reuse your cup on your next visit for a 50 cent discount.

Keep an eye out for holiday specials here, too. BobaLab’s last Halloween tea featured a Pumpkin Chai Milk Tea made with real buttercup pumpkin. Their Valentine’s Day Love Chemistry Mocktail featured strawberry, calpis and hibiscus. Regardless of the season, the team is always dreaming up colourful, exciting and always all-natural bubble tea creations.

BobaLab also does fun collabs with other Christchurch businesses. They’ve worked with the likes of Engine Coffee Brewers and gin gin to create innovative beverage specials that can only be had for a limited time - follow their Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up with it all.

Be sure to pick up a loyalty card so you can try them all! Purchase 5 teas and you’ll get one free.
