The little sister of Curator’s House restaurant, Curator’s Deli is on a mission to provide the people of Ōtautahi with good quality Spanish and European produce. Step inside this small piece of Spain and find speciality groceries to spice up your home cooking.

The stars of the show here are the Iberic cured meats. Serrano ham, salami, chorizo and speciality cheeses are available on a daily basis. The most famous of all is the house-made fresh chorizo developed by owner-operator Javier Garcia, who won the Cuisine artisan award for the product back in 2013. Since then Garcia has also developed a cured chorizo. Both are made using local free-range pork with traditional Spanish spices.

Purchase any of the deli items to take home or try them on-the-spot in the form of a traditional Spanish bocata sandwich served in a long baguette (this will quickly become a lunch-time craving). Curator’s Deli also serves Curator’s House Paella, salads and other take-home-meals from the restaurant.

On the grocery side of things, shelves heave with marinated olives, beans and chickpeas, antipasto goods, traditional Spanish biscuits, quality olive oil and a large variety of Spanish wine and cava.

Make sure to poke your head in next time you find yourself around the Art Centre. The friendly staff will happily talk you through any and all of the products available at this gem of a shop.
