Don’t be fooled by the vintage exterior of this cafe, deli and gourmet food store — inside the Peninsula General Store you'll find the most modern of cuisine philosophies.
Here, organic, international and gourmet foods await. Cabinets are stocked with freshly made sandwiches and baking each day, always with gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options available.
Vic’s Bakery fresh breads are sold here, along with a fridge of Kawaka Kombucha, Allganics sodas and cola, and Chia drinks. There is a variety of pre-weighed and bagged whole foods - grains, pulses, seeds, nuts - as well as fine oils, pastas, noodles, muesli and snack foods.
While fine international goods are imported to bring the world’s best to the peninsula, others are sourced from just around the corner like spray-free veges and fresh espresso by Kawatiri coffee roasted on the West Coast.
The Peninsula General Store is the perfect place to stock up for a gourmet picnic or platter or to park up at the homely wooden tables and read the paper.
