Look up to the office space above Kathmandu from Madras Street and all you see is a wall of green. This is BizDojo Ash Street, and what you’re looking at is their green space, a perfect spot to park up on vintage leather couches and take that afternoon coffee break. So much more than a place to lay your laptop, this is a community driven co-working space that acknowledges the importance of well being in order to do your best work.

Working as an entrepreneur or a freelancer can be a lonely business, and BizDojo is here to change that. With a community team who is there to help connect people, facilitate business growth, bounce ideas off or just find like-minded folk to share an after work beer with, it won’t take long to feel part of the crew here. The large space also means that growing companies don’t have to worry about being squeezed out; accommodating growth is a big part of the culture here.

With offices already in Auckland and Wellington, the style and structure has been perfected with experience and knowledge of what makes the space work for everyone. There are designated open and closed studio options, soundproof meeting rooms, hot desk spaces, quiet zones and even a place to take a power nap. At the center of the space a communal kitchen boasts a commercial espresso machine, a perfect spot to craft your own latte art while having a chat with one of the other residents.

On top of a great community of co-workers, perks of working at BizDojo include free fortnightly accounting, fortnightly legal advice, workshops run by other residents, daily quizzes, desk yoga– heck you can even join a choir if you’re that way inclined. Having a membership here means that you can also use BizDojo spaces in other cities while away traveling.

Considering the inspiring way in which BizDojo nurtures its residents, it’s no wonder that the first space in Christchurch quickly filled up and the company now houses also a second space across the lane on Lichfield Street. This is a space where you can easily drop in for a coffee and a chat or park up for the day.
