Are you after a unique pair of specs that showcase your individuality? You’ve come to the right place.
Groovy Glasses is an Optometry practice like no other. This is a shop that’s covered top to toe in great design, from the vintage inspired interiors to the stars of the show: the impressive exclusive ranges of designer frames, many of which you won't find elsewhere in Christchurch.
Each pair of spectacle frames on display here is hand-picked from international boutique eyewear companies by owner-operator Trudy McLean. McLean has an innate sense of style and years of experience picking out frames that pop. Whether you love colour, inventive design, classic retro style or completely out there frames, you’ll be sure to find your perfect match right here.
The philosophy at Groovy Glasses is simple: No Boring Specs Allowed. Think eyewear brands such as the sublime Anne et Valentin (worn by Lady Gaga), luxurious Moscot (a New York brand worn by another celeb, Johnny Depp), rad limited edition frames by l.a. Eyeworks and a range of specs by New Zealand’s own Kate Sylvester.
On top of offering an inspirational selection of eyewear, all the staff at Groovy Glasses are very experienced, from the Optical Assistants and Dispensing Opticians to the Optometrists themselves. The Optometrists carry out good thorough eye exams so you can be assured everything is checked carefully. It will be a lot more interesting and enjoyable than you imagine!
