The cosy nook is located on the prominent corner spot as you head up Dyers Pass Road. It’s a cute wee space that’s been cleverly curated to have a little bit of everything to suit any budget. Whether you’re searching out a housewarming present, a baby shower gift or a last-minute birthday present for family or friends, there will be something at Shelf to fit the bill. Interconnected to Emperor’s New Clothes inside, you’ll also have the added bonus of the coffee aroma as you browse through. 

Owner Sue Hauser-Deakin, who conveniently lives nearby, has had a long love affair with stores just like her own. Then, over seven years ago, an opportunity presented itself to take ownership of Shelf Home + Gifts and she never looked back. Having had a scented candle business prior to owning the store, it was important for Sue to have a range of products that were made by local makers she’d met at markets and events during her candle-making days.

It’s clear from the thoughtful and eclectic offering that Sue is in her element carefully selecting jewellery, soaps, scarves and ceramics that will adorn the shelves at her beloved store.
