An unassuming container on the fringe of the CBD offers customers the taste of home – no matter where in the world that might be. Watercolour travel posters from faraway lands decorate the counter and walls of Home, offering a hint of what might be found on the ever-changing lunch and dinner menus.

Famous for their fish tacos, churros and poke bowls, Home is fresh, flavoursome street food from around the world. Expect to find tastes of the Caribbean, Spain, South America, Hawaii, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Arab nations.

A corkboard wall map marks the origin of each past and present dish with a pin, and is refreshingly full in a city not known for its wide diversity in international cuisines. The diverse and regularly changing menu means there is something for everyone in the group, and upbeat international music adds charm to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere, which is amplified by strings of lights decorating the laneway and a handful of picnic tables for those wishing to eat onsite.

Most customers however choose to take their fare away and enjoy it in the surrounding pockets of inner city parks, or take advantage of the ample parking nearby making it easy to take the tastes of Home back to their home. Home also caters for private dinner parties and corporate events, and serves a range of non-alcoholic drinks from the container.
