2A Harbour Street
Set in Ōamaru's historic Harbour Street, the Larder is home to delicious homemade preserves, daily lunch boxes and a range of high quality products and provisions.
Opened three years ago in the former Harbour Board Office building, the striking facade is the first to greet you upon entry to the historic Victorian precinct. At more than 140 years old, the site features character aplenty with the namesake Ōamaru stone adorning the exterior. Once inside you’ll find plenty more to be excited about too, all beautifully laid out in the bright and airy space.
The range of Riverstone Kitchen preserves, jams, chutneys and spreads has you covered, while the baked goods—like the slow cooked carrot cake—are ready to go and come in the form of huge, decadent slices.
The famous Riverstone Kitchen lunch boxes can be ordered ahead for pickup on the day, and suffice to say everything on offer is absolutely delicious and of the utmost quality. As far as provisions go, you’d be remiss not to fill your tote with the huge range of eco-friendly products and supplies, or the range of cookbooks by Riverstone Kitchen’s own Bevan Smith.
With all of the dreamiest kitchen tools and utensils adorning the shelves, from beeswax wraps to dried pastas and Victorinox knives, plus the holiday gift boxes on offer, there’s an abundance of choice whether you’re looking to feast your eyes or fill your puku.
