Keen to provide a space where customers feel like they could come and read a book, do some art, and drink their coffee without the pressure of moving on quickly, Arts Village Café has succeeded in creating a serene little space to do exactly that.

The sunny deck out back complete with bean bags is a top spot for those looking for a little peace from the city centre. Big believers in supporting the local community and the beauty of the region means Arts Village Café takes care to buy pre-loved crockery and utensils, uses a worm farm for getting rid of food scraps and encourages visitors to bring their own takeout containers/cups for food and coffee. On the menu are things like breakfast baps, soup of the day, roti canai and gourmet filled rolls, while all your coffee needs are taken care of by the savvy barista and local Revolver beans.

Sharing a space with the Arts Village means even though this spot serves coffee and food, it is also a show-off point for local artists who can put their pieces on the walls here. What’s better than perusing some new art from the comfort of your favourite café after all?
