While Wee Tart is known first and foremost as a coffee shop and milkbar, this place is no one trick pony. Upon entering you’ll find a glass cabinet brimming with sweet treats, filled croissants and savoury breakfast muffins, while the brunch menu features eggy classics alongside global favourites like Bahn Mi and Poke Bowls.

The interior showcases a modern, clean space with a spacious bar and a concrete backdrop that manages to feel both chic and industrial. While you may be tempted to spend your time lingering over the charming cafe tables, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t explore the outdoor patio area. It boasts modern couches for lounging on sunny afternoons, plus, stairs that lead to a rooftop terrace overlooking the bustling street and mountain views--a real-life stairway to heaven.

In addition to their tried and true iced coffee range, milkshakes, smoothies, and juices, they also serve beer, wine, and a curated selection of the hard stuff. It’s the kind of place you can happily let the hours pass. We’d recommend grabbing a plate of loaded poutine (it’s served all day!) alongside a cold brew from the taps. Or, pop by for a gin and tonic on the patio. You’ll be claiming this spot as your neighbourhood local in no time.
