Wanaka Artisan Market

Thurs – 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Next to Bullock Creek, Ardmore Street

The sweet feeling of visiting a local market on a good day is somewhat amplified in Wanaka thanks to its unreal scenery and downright lovely people working the stalls. Tucked in next to the meandering Bullock Creek that ambles alongside Francesca’s Italian Kitchen, this artisan market runs once a week on a Thursday afternoon, and if you’re wanting some of the best bakery goods or handmade soaps in town, you best head on down.

Once you’ve stocked up on your weekly treats from Pembroke Patisserie, there’s plenty more spending to do – from art prints to pounamu pendants, candles to cakes, Wanaka Artisan Market has successfully managed to bring all the talented makers in town to one serene spot. If you’re into keeping yourself well, be sure to check out the sparkling kefir water from Revive that does wonders for your gut health, and take home a loaf from The People’s Bread Co whose sourdough is made with stoneground organic grains.

Year-round local bakers, butchers, growers and foragers are here whatever the season, whatever the weather, and if you’re hunting for pressies or pastries or perhaps one of each, wander on down to get a real taste of Wanaka makers, and meet the people responsible for so much goodness in one place.
