More often than not, keeping it simple has the most impact. In introducing a caffeine culture to Pukerua Bay, this is exactly what Greedy and Co. has done, forging a modest but attractive coffee spot that blends seamlessly into the idyllic seaside community.

Best described as a cute coffee caravan, Greedy and Co. exudes the confidence of a business that knows it doesn’t have to put on airs. Excellent coffee, legendary pies, and service with a smile are the order of the day on any visit to Renee and Sarah’s cosy abode. Renee’s father was given a simple brief for the caravan’s fitout: “natural, light, and bright, with a splash of pink”. It’s been executed to perfection, with the soft tones playing beautifully off the rolling green hills in the background.

It didn’t take long for word about the duo’s baking forte to spread around the Bay. The pies are a must-have, as are the sausage rolls. Hand-crafted lovingly with housemade pastry, they’re a treat in every sense of the word - you’ll have to drop by on a Friday or Saturday for a pie, as they’re only available on weekends. Keep an eye out for their range of gourmet toasted sandwiches too, including the popular vegetarian ‘Haloumi and Co.’

Pukerua Bay has long cried out for a cafe with character and a community hub, and Greedy and Co. delivers both. Renee and Sarah describe it as a plunge they have taken and fortunately for locals, it’s paid off, in the form of a place they can gather and connect over great food and coffee.
