Move Your Way to Wellness

Woman doing yoga at Uprising in Christchurch.

First things first, we are not your guru and neither is Tony (iykyk). However, what we do promote is partaking in daily practices that encourage a sense of thriving.

Wellness gets bandied around a lot these days. It's open to a plethora of interpretations and frankly, it can be exhausting keeping up. We’ve tried to keep our Wellness series simple by breaking it down into bite-size sections and highlighting a bunch of places we like to search out in Christchurch when the cup needs filling up. Namaste folks.

Places for Movement

Swing it, shake it, move it, make it. Well, it’s not bad advice from The Spice Girls. We know movement is inherently good for us, providing a much needed boost to our mental and physical health. That hit of dopamine is worth a lot. Whether you want to bend and stretch, curl and crunch, or fly downhill on two wheels, there are plenty of choices for adding more movement to your day.

Climbing the stairs is like voyaging into serenity, a place where your wellbeing equilibrium will be restored by the end of your session. With a choice of three options - dynamic, align and mellow - you can choose a class that suits your mood and energy levels.
