If delicious burgers, outrageously lush shakes, nostalgic tunes and good vibes are what you’re after, a visit to Burger Culture is a must. Nelson’s only true burger bar opened its doors on Trafalgar Street in 2017 and has been serving up top-notch grub ever since.
The mood inside this vibrant restaurant is cool, but not too cool, and is sure to induce a touch of nostalgia in any child of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Street art clad walls, old school cassette players and cassette lined shelves, an arcade machine, turn of the century rap music and neon lights are bound to bring back some memories – and work as a great backdrop for creating new ones.
Fully family owned and operated by the Williams family, nothing at Burger Culture is stock standard. Expect burgers like they should be, made with real ingredients that are either homemade or sourced locally. Patties are hand minced on-site and even the cheese is an in-house creation. The menu boasts around a dozen burger options to choose from, a couple of which are vegetarian.
Drinks and desserts play just as big a role at Burger Culture as the burgers, and in order to get the full experience, it’s highly recommended to pair your meal with a proper milkshake (there are plant-based shakes, too) or a homemade soda. Finish off with a cookie sandwich or an epic Sunday dessert and you’ll find yourself well satisfied.
Dining at Burger Culture is all about having fun. A casual and easy restaurant to take the kids out for a meal, meet with a group of mates or break the ice on a first date. Whatever the occasion, you just can’t go wrong with a damn good burger, can you?
