Pomeroy's is everything you would expect from an ol' English-style public house (aka a pub!). The decor, the smells, the garish patterned carpet (dark, of course, to hide any unsightly beer stains)... But Pomeroy's point of difference is evident in the details.
The delicious atypical pub fare (definitely try the homemade cheese fondue), fine selection of beers, fresh flowers, stained glass lamps and cosy leather couches make this place pretty darn special. Wait until you see the little nooks you can hide away in not to mention the library. They even publish a newspaper-style newsletter and menu. This drinking establishment is popular any day of the week and the pub quiz that takes place once a month is a must (tip: sit at the bar because the staff are particularly helpful in time of need).
