Head up to the first floor of 87 Manchester Street in the heart of Christchurch and enter the luxurious haven that is 1999 House of Nails. Whether you are a pedicure novice or like to have your manicure and nail art updated on the regular, this nail salon will make you feel right at home.

Owners Nghi and Tri first opened their doors in 2023 when they recognised a gap in the market for premium nail care with a strong emphasis on artistry. Nghi had been working in aged care and doing nails from home but it was during the COVID-19 lockdown, she used the extra time to refine her nail artistry skills and soon after, made the leap to pursue nails full-time. 1999 House of Nails have quickly proven to specialise in flawless, long-lasting nails thanks to their skilled technicians and artists on the team. So much so they have a second location in the seaside suburb of Ferrymead, but for city-dwellers or those working in the CBD this Manchester Street location is incredibly convenient.

Nghi and Tri have prioritised making the space aesthetically beautiful and calm, so you can ease into relaxation mode the moment you sit down for your chosen treatment. Privacy was also top of mind with the design of this Manchester Street location, with each station being separated by curtains, creating an individual zone for each client. It elevates the experience, as does the intentionally pared-back colour palette with pops of coral orange around the interiors and lush furniture you can sink into and enjoy your appointment from.

From a simple buff and shape through to the most intricate nail art designs you can think of, there’s a service to suit every nail preference at 1999 House of Nails - Manchester Street. Just make sure you book in advance, the nail technicians here are in demand.
