Havelock North’s Lot 2 is a laid back, unpretentious eatery with an all day brunch menu inspired by owner and chef Cliff Fernandes’ nostalgic food memories growing up in India, his time spent working overseas and travelling to different countries.
Lot 2 is based on the philosophy of wholesome and nutritious homely food. A number of the dishes are naturally gluten-free and/or vegan (or can easily be made that way) and the morning menu features all the classics with exciting flavour twists (think omelette with spiced lamb mince curry and miso mushrooms on a savoury panisse cake). Let’s not forget the cabinet which offers an abundance of sweet and savoury treats to nourish and comfort.
The vision at Lot 2 is to provide an offering for patrons that will keep them coming back. It's a place where memories are recalled and new ones are made. Between the well-thought-out space, warm hospitality and quality food and drink, this journey is one that is well underway.
