New Plymouth’s burgeoning art scene is vibrant and exciting and Kingsroy is a notable addition to the swathe of galleries opening in the coastal city. With its convenient location in the creative Westend of New Plymouth - not too far from Govett Brewster/Len Lye gallery - Kingsroy is amongst good company.

The creator of Kina, Luella Raj, has established another must-see gallery for those wanting to interact with unique art, lighting, jewellery, furniture and objects. The large street-front windows beg for passersby to gaze into and delight in the bespoke collection of beautiful artworks. The gallery sprawls across two large spaces and is designed to perfection. Whether you want to revel in the texture and form of ceramics, appreciate the art on the walls or simply take a moment to escape the world outside, Kingsroy is the answer.  The artists represented here are exclusive to the gallery, and be sure to ask about the next exhibition opening so you can celebrate the arts and culture in New Plymouth.

The name will be familiar to New Plymouth locals, as it has been inherited from the old electrical company, Kingsroy Electric, that resided at the same premises for many years. A local institution for generations, Luella wanted the legacy of Kingsroy to continue with a new, yet enduring, identity.  The gallery is elegant, refined and showcases creative endeavours with vision and style.
