Looking for things to do in Porirua? If you’re a seeker of thrills, you’ll likely have a lot of fun at aptly named Adrenalin Forest. Here you’ll find hollering humans swinging, climbing and tearing their way around a ropes course high in the trees. Nestled up above Porirua Harbour, the grown-up playground is a popular activity for team-building, birthday celebrations, work get-togethers, or simply for those who want to add a little thrill to their day.

No need to let nerves get the better of you here as the smart click-on apparatus means you’re never at risk of falling, though if the height does become too much for you all of a sudden, the staff are specially trained in getting you down safely.

There’s a safety briefing and ‘how-to’ chat before you begin, plus the tracks start off easy and get progressively more challenging as you proceed. While Adrenalin Forest may be no walk in the park, it’s certainly an experience you won’t forget quickly.
