Aro Video is a Wellington institution. Stocking a comprehensive selection of quality films for rental and sale, Aro Video stands as living proof that the internet hasn’t entirely killed the old school video store and offer what is now a unique real world experience. Presenting over 25,000 titles on DVD, Blu-Ray and VHS over two levels of a restored villa, their shelves are crammed with everything from world cinema to Hollywood to obscure cult classics to documentaries and film festival favourites. Be prepared to stay for a good browse and perhaps a chat with the friendly, knowledgeable staff who’ll point you in cinematic directions an algorithm can only dream about.
