The team at Woolston-based Three Boys Brewery personally tends to each small-scale brew, right from selecting the best local malt and NZ hops until it leaves the brewery as a beautiful refreshing treat, Their aim is simple: finest quality beer, finest possible taste. The beers are brewed, bottled, and canned on site so quality and freshness can be guaranteed every time.

When it comes to flavour development, the team has its finger on the pulse, with the latest trends as well as core favourites. Think all the classics with a Pacific twist, and specialties such as the Oyster Stout (the most awarded beer in the country, made with Bluff Oysters), a low alcohol Passionfruit Gose (delish) or any of the latest hazy styles, including cult favourite Alpha Juice (or its little brother Easy Juice!).

Three Boys Brewery is also a keen supporter of the local arts and music scene. Team ups with the likes of RDU, a local alternative radio station, and local musicians and artists means there is always something on the go. And don’t forget the food! Food trucks are a regular weekend feature and will be a fine accompaniment to your pint.

Pop in and fill a rigger, order a keg for that next bash or sit down and enjoy a cold one right here – there’s a comfy space upstairs with vintage couches and chairs to set down your tush and watch the brewers at work. You can even grab a takeaway meal from one of the neighbouring restaurants and enjoy it here with a freshly poured pint. Sounds like a pretty good deal, don’t you think?
