The home of beer in Amberley, the Brew Moon Brewing Company, is an independent brewery, taproom and kitchen. Residing on the historic Markham Street in Amberley, Brew Moon provides locals and travellers with a relaxed spot to enjoy locally crafted beer and delicious food.

Kieran McCauley and Belinda Gould started the Brew Moon in 2002 at the original brewery on State Highway One and moved into their current location, an empty warehouse they refitted in 2016. The family has recently been joined by Maty Johns and Rod Thomson, hospitality pros from Base Wood-fired Pizza and Base Food by Fire, to enhance the food offering to match the strong brewing focus that Brew Moon has always had.

The food menu is flavour and fun, with wood-fired pizzas accompanied by delicious burgers and the ultimate craft beer bar accompaniments and snacks. Choose from the stools at the bar, a cosy spot by the fire, a high table with a brewery view, or head to the outdoor courtyard.

Brew Moon is passionate about creating hand-crafted beer made with quality ingredients. The original Amberley Pale Ale, Darkside of the Moon Stout and Hophead IPA beers are still on offer, as are a raft of other usual suspects loved the country over, including the Waipara New England IPA, Long White Cloudy Hazy Pale Ale and Feijoa and Raspberry sour beers.

The team also release seasonal beers ranging from thick, sweet Belgian Ales to tart, fruity Riesling Ales, completing their options across the sixteen taps. The hop averse will also find plenty of cider and local wine options behind the bar. Holding an off licence, expect to see locals stopping by to fill their riggers or pick up some of the notorious Brew Moon cans.

An anchor in the local hospitality scene, Brew Moon is an excellent example of the family friendly neighbourhood brewpub.
