Jolly Deli on Christchurch’s Tuam Street sees two of the city’s food scene stars join forces to serve up some of the best sammies around the ‘03.
Handily located mere metres from the hospital, Jolly Deli is perfect for a quick grab-and-go lunch or pre-shift snack. If you’ve got more time up your sleeve sit back and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere, it certainly lives up to its ‘jolly’ moniker.
The stars of the show at Jolly Deli are their sandwiches made with freshly baked focaccia and loaded with mouth-watering fillings. We’re talking an elevated roast chicken sambo complete with a herby mayo, pickled jalapenos and chilli for a kick. Or how about the broccoli cheese, a completely fresh take on a classic cheese toastie; packed with ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan. Their breakfast game is on point with their four ways on toast; eggs, avo, mince or French. Then come the support acts which are just as enticing; there’s an impressive cabinet lineup of baked treats from scones, cookies and French-style tarts. Not to mention local roastery Coffee Embassy supply the coffee beans, so you know your morning flat white will be on point every time.
Whether you’re dashing in for a sandwich to take back to your office, dropping in for your morning caffeine hit or lingering for a longer lunch complete with sammie and baked treat courses, Jolly Deli will quickly become a part of your workday routine.
