Westend Stories on Cambridge Terrace is one of those spots you’ll end up returning to time after time. This cafe is all about exceeding expectations and expanding the taste buds of its customers. The creative chefs behind the scenes spend a lot of time refining recipes for the Mediterranean-Asian fusion menu on offer here, and you can expect to enjoy dishes that are out-of-the-ordinary yet accessible.
Passionate about hosting, the people behind Westend Stories thrive on creating excellent experiences for their guests. Regulars are specially looked after, and connections with people are important; at the heart of it all is the will to build stories and weave them together with the people who walk through the door here. It’s the kind of personable service that you’d expect at a neighbourhood cornershop, yet here within the heart of the city, it is especially heartwarming.
The large and luminous space of the cafe caters for huge numbers of people, yet it doesn’t feel colossal by any means. There is a meeting room that can be shut off from the main area, lounge-like seats in the foyer and plenty of sunny seating in the inner courtyard. Westend Stories can also be hired for private functions and events – that’s space and catering sorted in one go.
Coffee, of course, plays an important part here too: it’s crafted with a bold, dark, Allpress roast and delivers a punchy, flavourful caffeine hit. Consistency is key, and you can expect to get a perfectly poured cuppa each time, no matter the time of the day. During the morning rush, a new WST-to-go space offers a quick option for a much-needed coffee on the run. You’ll also find plenty of tempting pastries and gourmet lunch options to pair your coffee with.
