Located on the upper end of High Street, New City Barbers is a barbershop like no other. The experienced team, lead by owner-operator Chris Terry, specialise in traditional handcrafted haircuts and straight razor shaves. Chris has been cutting hair for over 30 years and opened New City Barbers in 2013 to provide gents with quality, consistent and long lasting cuts - all in a space they can feel comfortable and relaxed.

The space has been decked out in plenty of interesting art and quirky curios to keep customers amused while having their trim. Comfortable barber seats, big mirrors and good banter rounds out the whole affair.

At any given time you’ll find a group of guys hanging out outside the shop, waiting for their turn or just taking time to catch up with mates. Previously providing customers by walk-in appointment only, New City Barbers has recently added an online booking system to make getting a groom more convenient for those pressed for time. Walk-ins are still welcome and will be catered to whenever possible.

Whether you’ve already found your go-to style in the Scumbag Boogie or Slickback, or need advice in discovering the best style to fit your personality and hair, the friendly barbers are here to assist five days a week.
