The Flower Crate is not your average florist shop. What started with a passion for gardening has developed into a specialist service that takes pride in meeting people’s unique floral needs.
The shop is beautifully arranged and run by an authentic, warm and wonderful team that prides themselves on their friendly service, so stop by for a chat and some inspiration. The Flower Crate loves helping you find the right plant for a space and they deliver citywide. They are the first ‘studio’ on Lovegrove Lane and enjoy being a part of this developing community of like-minded owner-operators.
Selling freshly cut flowers for you to order or take home, indoor plants, orchids, roses and seasonal market flowers, The Flower Crate is always well stocked with 100% New Zealand grown flowers. This little shop is all about the sensory experience that makes floristry, and what it represents, memorable – the smells, textures and colours communicate what we sometimes struggle to say with our words alone. The gesture of flowers – choosing them, arranging them, giving them – is an experience to be shared and The Flower Crate loves playing their part.
Stepping inside is like waltzing into a heavenly-scented oasis. Often asked 'what smells so good?' the team will tell you it is a blend of all things natural; flowers, candles, plants, perfume. Alex ensures that all stock has an ethical footpath into the store, and sharing the stories of how these special items journeyed here is all part of the service. The curated range of homewares, furnishings, apothecary goods and of course, flowers, ensures that you will always find the perfect gift for any occasion.
