The Hastings isite is a must-visit for any local or visitor to the region, and not just because it is an absolute hub of information. Nestled in the centre of Hastings, the isite is housed in a recently opened space (having moved to the Toitoi complex late 2022); and is one that is interactive, lively, bright and welcoming.

Information centres as we know them may be a thing of the past, as the Hastings isite has entirely reimagined the concept, with a strong emphasis on supporting local. Expect to find interactive maps, hear only Kiwi music, and enjoy plenty of local crafts, souvenirs and merchandise.

Further to this, the isite partners with the Hastings Farmers’ Market (an iconic local attraction) to aid in the promotion of the region's local produce. The isite supplies many well-known local products for purchase, such as Arataki Honey, along with those making a mark with their innovations - including both Rooster’s Ginger Beer and St Andrew’s Lime Chutney.

In recent times, the isite has hosted a ‘tasting table’, a place to showcase (and taste!) some of the region’s favourite products, with each also being available for purchase. Visitors are guided through the different samples, and are hopefully incentivised to visit the producers' locations in person. Think honey, olive oils, chutneys, relishes, olives, cheeses and more - just to name a few.

Nothing can replace local knowledge, so of course the capable team can also help with travel, including giving advice and helping with the booking of activities, accommodation and transport.

At the Hastings isite, mapping out any adventure is made easy - just don’t expect to leave empty handed.
