Step inside Kismet on Nelson’s Hardy Street and be transported into a sophisticated, world-class cocktail and whiskey bar. Lush seating, dark walls, vintage floor lamps, fairy lights and candles create a cosy, yet elegant atmosphere. Open shelves behind the bar rise to the ceiling and house an impressive selection of quality spirits, plus the pride of the bar - around a 300-strong collection of whisky.

Bespoke drinks and graceful service is what you can expect at Kismet. Cocktails are created by a tight team of hospitality veterans, each of whom brings their expertise and individual inspirations to the table. While the cocktail list changes regularly and boasts an impressive array of interesting drinks, the good people behind the bar are always open to mixing up something to your liking that is not on the menu.

Offering customers new experiences and introducing them to the world of whisky is a big focus at Kismet.  The Nelson bar’s large collection of hard-to-come-by whisky draws in enthusiasts as well as novice whisky drinkers. There’s no need to feel intimidated by the vastness of choice at Kismet, as the barmen are happy to walk you through a number of options.

Pair your drink with a tasty side from the ambitiously atypical nibbles menu, such as truffle fries, and find a cosy nook to settle and take in all that this special spot has to offer. Whether you’re in for a daytime or an evening affair, Kismet is the kind of bar where you’ll want to linger.
