Enjoy Store in Plimmerton, Porirua, is a curation of thoughtfully selected homewares and children’s clothing, all chosen to bring joy to our everyday lives.

Stocking timeless, quality and useful brands such as Father Rabbit, Baggu, Citta and Fjallraven, there is an emphasis on ensuring functionality meets design in a harmonious marriage. It’s a simple concept with a beautiful result, and at Enjoy, it’s executed perfectly.

As if the window display isn’t enticing enough, the arrangement of stock in store is positively delightful. And with a background in graphic design, it’s no surprise that founder Kate has the skill set to make everything look good. Kate hopes to inspire others as they walk through the doors of Enjoy Store, for them to leave feeling inspired and happier than when they arrived. 

Ever since Kate was old enough to shift furniture around in her bedroom, she has dreamed of the day when she could have her own space full of products she loves. For many years Kate ran her own graphic design studio, envying clients who were clearly following their dreams - now it’s her turn.

In years gone past, visitors to Kate’s home would ask for help in recreating a similar feeling and aesthetic in their own homes, and now we can all have the opportunity to do that. Each piece in store is personally selected by Kate; they are products she uses in her own home or clothing brands her children once wore. This enables Kate to choose sustainable products and ones that add value to the way we live.

Favourite brands include the Martino Gamper stools - although they are commonly sold online, there is nothing quite like a customer viewing it in person and immediately being able to take it home. Much loved children’s clothing brand, Organic Zoo, is particularly well stocked; the neutral, unisex styles are both timeless and ridiculously cute. And, of course, it’s always hard to go past the locally-made Shirl and Moss chocolate.
