Head to Newtown, venture a bit further past the chaotic and colourful Riddiford Street, and you’ll stumble across Peoples Coffee’s roastery HQ café, the beating heart of one of Wellington’s most loved food and beverage brands.
Designed from the outset to be a Willy Wonka-esque factory of all things coffee, the space has been built intentionally to showcase the entire coffee journey from bean to cup. There’s seating for up to 30, so take your pick - from the benches set around the walls to the sofa or the communal high table.
The internal floor-to-ceiling windows give café visitors sweeping views of the production warehouse. This sense of openness and transparency permeates the entire venue as the sun streams through the high windows, illuminating the immaculate, smoky blue panelling.
Peoples a place for everyone, combining friendly neighbourhood café vibes with the presence and space of a town hall, ideal for both intimate dates and larger gatherings. In addition to your favourite Peoples Coffee blends and light snacks, you’ll find here a selection of equipment and merchandise to meet all your coffee needs - perfect for upgrading your own setup or finding a gift for that coffee fiend in your life.
Newtown is a coffee lover’s paradise, and the People’s Roastery HQ is intent on taking centre stage. A café, production hub and educational tour all rolled into one, the roastery embodies everything awesome about the People’s experience.
