Perhaps best known as an online home décor store, Everyday Needs represents the eclectic and stylishly simplistic collection of homewares curated by Katie Lockhart. Now there’s a store on Ponsonby Road that you can visit as well.
As the shop’s name suggests, the focus here is on items for the home that are practical and useful – the kind of things you couldn’t imagine living without. They’ve covered everything from the bathroom to the kitchen to the garden, and have your housekeeping needs sorted too. But not only are things practical, Katie, with her background in interior design, ensures that they are stylish as well. The range is thoughtful and of high quality, with an emphasis on Japanese designed and made products. It’s the kind of stuff that will stand the test of time, and the kind of stuff that you’ll totally covet.
