Another one of Ponsonby’s illustrious retailers is Flotsam and Jetsam, a vintage store with both new and old items for the home.

This is a place where as soon as you walk in you absolutely have to pick up and examine all the amazing objects closely. With retro crockery and old milk bottles, Flotsam is perfect for those wanting to boutique the hell out of their lives while keeping things practical. Coffee table books and coasters are certainly helpful for those looking to adorn a new abode, while wooden art pieces harking back to the days of yonder will help add a bit of character and style to any blank walls in the place.

There are often a few items floating round which are distinctly ‘Auckland’ such as old roading type signs or long lost furniture pieces. On the flip side there is a slight affinity with the Big Apple and Americana which permeates more than a few of their objects giving variety between, what some may argue are, the best three cities in the world; Auckland, NYC and Paris.

Accessible and easy to navigate, Flotsam and Jetsam offers the opportunity to pick up that classic piece of memorabilia you need on your mantle and is a store Ponsonby is proud to have.
