Tucked away in a corner of Hamilton city is an enchanting little laneway that evokes the charm of Italy, with its pottery and art studios, water fountains, and curated gardens. This is where you’ll find the adorable pink facade of Hello Rosie. The tiny vegan haven is more than just a feast for the eyes, their menu is chock full of nostalgic comfort food that's good for the soul.

The story of Hello Rosie began in 2018 when, struggling to find vegan offerings at local markets, Renae and Dan decided to take matters into their own hands. Their answer? An old ice cream caravan, beautifully restored and ready to serve up delicious vegan delights. Named after the classic slice recipe (which also happens to be a favourite of Renae’s Mum), Hello Rosie debuted at the annual Vegan Vibes Festival in 2018 at Mt. Maunganui.

Locals are stoked that Hello Rosie has found a permanent home in Hamilton city, and raving fans still journey from Mt. Maunganui to indulge in the irresistible offerings. If you've been to Hello Rosie, there's a high chance you didn't even realise everything was vegan. Their hope is simple: that customers enjoy everything and spread the word.

The menu boasts favourites like the Rosie burger — their vegan twist on a Big Mac, alongside loaded fries, and the ever-popular cauliflower tacos. The mac and cheese bites, one of their inaugural offerings, are a long-standing favourite, and their lolly cake cheesecake is childhood dreams come true. If the adorable pink exterior somehow doesn’t lure you in, just one look at the cabinet full of luscious-filled donuts and other sweet treats is definitely going to seal the deal.

Hello Rosie has been an evolving labour of love. Every burger, donut and tiramisu speaks of the passion and dedication of its founders. If you're in town, this is a spot you wouldn’t want to miss — for its irresistible cuteness, the moreishly good food, and everything else in between.
