Noodle lovers, you’re about to win big, and that’s because we’re going to tell you where to get some of the best noodles in town. Garden Place Noodle Bar not only has noodles in its name, but it also makes them by hand, from scratch, and thumps them into shape right in front of your eyes.
The cosy, dark wood interior is lit by fun lantern lighting and is the kind of comfortable place you could easily park up and stay a while. Be careful you don’t forget the rest of your to-do list, as the TV showing you the very time-consuming but beautiful process of making dumplings, steam buns and noodles is incredibly mesmerising. Grab a bowl of (gluten-free) rice noodles with pork mince, BBQ pork rib, seafood or the vegetarian option to name a few, and have them dry or in a soup.
Dumpling enthusiasts will be pleased to see there’s plenty of those on the menu here too – pork with celery, cabbage or onion, and a tofu, carrot and vermicelli choice for the non-meat eaters. And if you’re taking into account the recommendations from the chef (which we strongly suggest), then the eight pack of steamed pork buns is rated two big thumbs up.
Little pots of vinegar, soy and chilli oil on the table mean you can season your meals to taste, although it’s tough to mess with the already top-rate flavours coming out of the kitchen. Lovers of the cheap and cheerful, quick and quality and super fresh ingredients will find a little haven in Garden Place Noodle Bar.
