Kori Desserts has carved out a sweet little Hamilton haven for those craving something beyond the ordinary. Specialising in high‑quality, handcrafted treats with a distinctly Asian‑inspired twist, Kori Desserts dishes up light, playful, and visually stunning creations that are as much a feast for the eyes as they are for the taste buds.

Kori Desserts began in Auckland, but after Jenna and her husband, Horlick, both lifelong dessert lovers, tried their first bite, they knew they wanted to open one of their own. Hamilton, they realised, didn’t have anything quite like it. The dream of owning a dessert shop had been with them since high school, and this was the spark they needed to bring it to life.

The concept behind Kori blends two worlds: the delicate, not‑too‑sweet flavours of Asian‑style desserts and the Kiwi tradition of enjoying good food with friends. Jenna saw a growing appetite for lighter, more creative treats and decided to take the leap. The result is a café that feels both fresh and familiar, with a vision rooted in community, joy, and the belief that desserts should be an experience, not just a menu item.

Step inside Kori Desserts and you’ll find a space that’s cosy yet modern, with bright interiors and comfortable seating. It’s somewhere to discover unique desserts, drinks, and specialty items rarely found elsewhere in the city. Signature items like the Okinawa bingsu crème brûlée soufflé pancakes, Mango bingsu, and Passion Guava Ade have become fast favourites, drawing customers back time and again for their unique flavours and beautiful presentation.

Grateful for the warm embrace of the Hamilton community, the team at Kori are committed to keeping things fresh, creative, and full of heart. Their vision is to make Kori Desserts a destination, a spot people love to share with others, where every visit feels like a treat and every bite brings a smile. As Horlick puts it, desserts should be more than food; they should be moments worth remembering. And at Kori, that’s exactly what you’ll find.
