The aroma escaping from the kitchen hits you as soon as you step onto their block, instantly making Bird on a Wire a no brainer. A tidy little eating area outside catches the morning rays, with wind shelters for those occasional blusters. Inside, a wall of memories comprised of stylish black and white photos gives the place a bit of history, and stools and low hanging lightbulbs make dining in casual and accessible.
The guys at Bird on a Wire crisp up some of the best beer battered chips around. An easy companion to one of their Dirty Bird burgers. The swathe of different salads they concoct is truly unbelievable too – to the point where it rivals the tricks they can do with chicken. Forget pies. A handful of flavoursome pulled poultry stuffed inside a fresh baguette is where it’s at. $10 a pop isn’t bad considering places like subway charge similarly and the ingredients are nowhere near as fresh.
Having healthy food like this ready to take away is perfect for a picnic in the park or to munch on as you venture further up the strip. You can even order online to save time during the lunch hour rush!
