In the midst of the City Works Depot, you will find The Raw Kitchen, a lovely escape from the sometimes hectic concrete jungle.

The Raw Kitchen’s environment is as sweet as their cakes. Decorated with green ivy leaves, this little slice of paradise makes you feel fresh as soon as you walk in, without even trying the daily delights. Follow the vines upstairs to the peaceful mezzanine to relax on one of the comfy chairs or alternatively, perch outside to get that Vitamin-D fix. Powered by plants, the team of amazingly passionate staff are helpful whether it is your first time or your tenth, because making the decision on what plant-based raw foods to eat never gets any easier.

Daily fresh-pressed juices, fresh roasted coffee, organic tea and various made-to-order smoothies are internally beneficial, and the accompaniments aren’t any less virtuous, with gâteaux taking pride of place in the cabinet alongside coconut and raspberry o-balls and peppermint and ginger slices. For breakfast choose from offerings like activated cashew, organic cacao and coconut muesli with coconut yoghurt and fresh fruit breakfast cup, or classic chia pudding. The lunch options include plant based salads, collard wraps, lunch boxes and toasts from the Midnight Baker.

A newly launched range of  keto sweets are also here to tempt; ranging from slices, cakes, bounty bites and rocky road to name just a few. With the easy access of endless raw, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and soy free creations on the City Depot site, there’s no reason not to try the edible ‘raw’ way of life.
