Social in name and in character, this restaurant is a bright and vibrant place to park up for the evening with a big group of mates. Another thing that’s parked up here is the renovated ute, that now boasts an electric fire, and makes for a neat spot to hang out with your drinks.
A café, bar, restaurant and venue for event hire all in one, Social Club is open early to late, and strives to be a community hub where hungry visitors can feel right at home no matter the time of day. Serving only free-range meat and eggs, and plenty of gluten free and vegan options, the menu here ranges from bountiful brunch (mascarpone pancakes or kumara and apple hash anyone?) to tapas and bigger meals. Easy-sharing is the ethos at Social Club, so be prepared for your meal to look that good that your table mates just can’t help but steal a bite.
Wines, beers, spirits and cocktails are available to the folks coming here later in the day, while if it’s a daytime pick-me-up you need, go with something from the smoothie, juice or fairtrade, organic coffee menu.
